AR550 gateways support the SEP protocol to provide highly reliable network communication and fast, 50 ms protection switching. With 28 Ethernet interfaces, they can provide access to a large number of densely-deployed electric terminals and comply with IEEE 1613 and IEC61850-3 substation environmental standards.

Huawei AR550 gateways are perfect for digital and smart electric power distribution automation and automatic substation access.

AR550s are great for transportation scenarios with many sparsely distributed stations and they meet EN50121 and EN50155 electromagnetic interference and anti-vibration standards. Use them to build smart transportation systems to control highway monitoring, vehicle-mounted Passenger Information Systems (PIS), and vehicle-ground communication systems. After installation, you can deploy services easily with a simple USB drive.

Many industries need video surveillance, but varied access conditions pose high requirements for video backhaul devices. With its compact design, the AR550 fits almost anywhere, operates in a wide variety of temperature and humidity conditions, and you can even install it on guide rails for extra flexibility.
