Acne is a condition of the sebaceous hair follicle. The hair follicles, or pores, in your skin contain sebaceous glands (also called oil glands). These glands make sebum, which is an oil that lubricateds your hair and skin. Under normal conditions, sebum travesl up the hair follicle and out to the skins surface.
