2. Brief Introduction of Austenite-Bainite Grinding Balls
Austenite-bainite grinding ball is a kind of grinding ball, superior to the present widely used low-chromium ball, high-chromium ball, and variuos forged ball. The balls can be used in fields such as metallurgy mine, ore dressing, power coal-grinding and cement production , and are manufactured our company. Its product size is 60mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 130mm, and especially the biggest size of 150mm. Our annual output is about 50,000 tons for the balls.
3. Advantages of the grinding ball over the other balls presently used
3-1. High hardness and good wear-resistance: Microstructure of our grinding balls is the caibide-containing bainite and retained austenite, together with certain uniformly distributed spheroidal graphites.
3-2. Our austenite-bainite grinding balls present high surface hardness of HRC63 and good impact toughness of ak=7~10 J/cm2. This value is about 2~3 times of the low-chromium ball and the high-chromium balls.
3-3. Well-defined shape for our grinding balls: The balls are formed on an automatic productin line of the sand-coated iron mould, and then heat-treated on automatic line. the stable processing makes our formed balls be in well-defined shape, which is well kept even during the ball working. Then good efficiency can be obtained for the ball mill.
3-4. Light in weight for our grinding balls: More nodular graphite contained in our grinding balls results in a density of 7.3 t/m3, which is about 8% lower than that of the low-chromium balls, high-chromium ball and the forged balls (about 7.7t/m3). About 8% electric power can be saved for users due to a decrease in loading for the ball mill.
