Off grid solar power system , also called stand alone solar system, solar power system. 

 

solar panel --- controller --- battery bank --- off grid inverter --- AC loads .

 

when sunny days, solar panel produce electricity, then flow through controller, battery.  inverter take electricity for AC loads. Excess electricity will be storage in battery. when no sun ( bad weather ), off grid inverter take electricity from battery for AC loads.

 

 

Meanwhile, off grid inverter can connect state grid for back-up. that means, if bad weather last so long that low battery, off grid inverter auto transfer to state grid to take electricity for AC loads.

solar panel : monocrystaline silicon cells, 10years output 90% & 25years output 80% of its nominal power rating

Solar controller : PWM or Mppt solar charge controller (Optional)

Battery : fully sufficienct capacity. AGM lead acid battery (5-7years lifespan), GEL battery ( 7-10years lifespan)

Off grid inverter : isolated transformer inside, better stability then transformerless type. Meanwhile, off grid inverter with AC input for back-up .
