A.Material of UHMW-PE:
Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) Polyethylene is often referred to as the world toughest polymer, it is the thermoplastic engineering plastic with the average molecular weight more than 6.0 million. (PE only has the molecular weight between twenty to two hundred thousand.) which is regarded as a surprised engineering plastic of excellent comprehensive capacity.
B. Main characteristics of UHMWPE:
1. High-wear resistance
Seven times wear resistance than steel, four times than PTFE.
2.High impact resistance
Two times impact resistance than PC, five times than ABS.
3.Self-lubrication
Same as PTFE, better than steel and brass appended lubricating oil.
4.Anti-corrosion resistance,
Stable chemicals property and can endure all kinds of corrosion.
5. Non-sticking
Smooth surface of product hardly affixes other material.
6. Low temperature resistance
In (-196 °C ), it still has the prolongation and high tensile strength.
7. Non-toxic and clean property
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Department of Agriculture (ASDA) permit to apply in food and medicine fields.
