Defination of Eddystone

Just like iBeacon is a Bluetooth 4.0 communication protocol designed by Apple, Eddystone is an open Bluetooth 4.0 protocol from Google.

Eddystone is a protocol specification that defines a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) message format for proximity beacon messages. It describes several different frame types that may be used individually or in combinations to create beacons that can be used for a variety of applications.

Eddystone Beacon Instruction

Download App from Google Play, the App name is Eddystone, logo as following:

Turn on the Beacon: Long press the button until the green light flash.

Turn off the Beacon: Long press the button until the red light flash.

How to Change the Beacon Mode

Compatiable with iBeacon and Eddystone, that is to say, it has different modes:

---iBeacon mode

---Eddystone-UID mode

---Eddystone-URL mode

Beacon mode can be changed by click button.

The default Beacon mode is iBeacon;

Click the button two times, the green light will flash one time, then device change to Eddystone -UID Mode;

Click the button two times, the green light will flash two times, then device change to Eddystone -URL Mode;

Click the button two times, the green light will flash three times, then device change to iBeacon Mode.

How to Change the Parameter

---Long press the power button to turn on Beacon, then Beacon will enter modifiable mode. User can modify parameters in 2 minutes, after 2 minutes, Beacon will turn to broadcasting mode.

---Default Password is “123456”, can be modified in App. If password changed, please remember for next modify.

---Support Minimum 100ms broadcast interval (broadcast interval is from 100ms to 9000ms)
