Description of POM sheet
POM is a high-density, high-crystalline linear polymer without side
chain . According to the molecular chain chemical structure, it can be divided into homopolymer and
acetal copolymer. The important difference between the two is that POM has higher density,
crystallinity, and melting point, but its thermal stability is poor, its processing temperature range is
narrower about 10 C, and its pH stability is lower. The density, crystallinity, melting point and intensity
of acetal copolymer are all low , but it has good thermal stability, not easy to break down, the
processing temperature range is about 50 C for pH stability, which is excellent performance
engineering plastic. POM has good physical, mechanical and chemical properties, especially its
excellent abrasion performance, which is better than steel,is the third largest generic plastic. It is
suitable for production of wear resistant parts, transmission parts, chemical and instrumentation
parts.
