Pull lever down to drive the worm into the cork, then pull the lever up to remove the cork. Cork comes off the worm with another simple down and up motion. Foil cutter removes foil capsule to reveal cork. Place foil cutter on top of bottle, squeeze and twist side to side to cut foil, then lift and remove.
