GAVR-12A is the modern one of universal avr,this is for brushless generator whose power within 100-150kw.  

 

A genset, or distributed generator system, is an electrical generator such as a solar panel,gasoline powered generator, or windmill located in proximity to the end-user rather than in a central location such as those utilized by commercial power providers. A genset can be utilized as an augmentation to an existing electrical grid system or as an "off-grid" power source depending upon the needs of the user. Gensets are often used by hospitals and other industries which rely upon a steady source of power, as well as in rural areas where there is no access to commercially generated electricity.

Universal 7Amp 1/2 Wave Self Excited Dip-Switch Progmmable generator part avr  and forms part of the excitation system for a 

brushless generator.

 

Description:In addition to rregulating the generator voltage,the avr circuitry includes under-speed and sensing loss protection features.Excitation power os derived directly from the generator terminals.

 

Positive voltage build up from residual level is ensured by the use of efficient semiconductors in the power circuitry of the avr/

The avr is linked with the main stator windings and the exciter field windings to provide closed loop control of the output voltage with load regulator of +/-1.0%.

 

Provision is made for the connection of a remote voltage trimmer,allowing the user fine control of generator's output.
