Tap water → Raw water tank→ Raw water pump→ Mechanical filter → Active carbon filter →5μm precision filter → High pressure pump →Fist stage RO module → Second stage RO module → Pure water tank

3.  Ro water system working principle

 Quartz sand filter

In the pre-treatment part, the first device is mechanical filter. Raw water will be purified by the filter. And suspend matter, colloid and other impurities are moved. Specification of quartz sand: 1~5mm; QUANTITY:300kg.

Active carbon filter

It is one of important devices in pre-treatment part. The filter mainly remove the organic substance, chlorine, odor, chroma and etc to make the left chlorine ≤0.1mg/l.So as protect the RO membrane from damage by the chlorine. The active carbon should be replaced every one to two years according to the content of the chlorine mostly. Specification of active carbon: abnormal pellet; QUANTITY:100kg.

5μm precision filter

It is the third stage filtration. The filter core is PP. Filter shell is PVC-U. it mainly get rip of micro suspend matter. The specification of filter core:40″×5u×5 pieces.

 RO device

The RO device removes the hydronium, organic substance, colloid, bacteria and other impurity by the method of membrane. And the water can be desalted and purified. The theory is as follows. The treated water and the untreated water are separated by the membrane; the treated water osmoses to the untreated water. There is osmotic pressure between the two. If the pressure is added to the untreated water and the pressure of the untreated water is bigger than the osmotic pressure, the water of the untreated water osmoses to the opposite position of the water. This applies the reverse osmosis to the desalted water. That is to say the untreated water is purified into the pure water through the RO membrane under adequate pressure. The left water which can not osmose through the membrane contains a lot of solute and suspended substance, and it will be drained out as waste water.

Operation Maintenance

1.Mechanical filter

The operation mode is MANUAL. Ruing and washing are controlled by the valve. Quartz sand:300 kg. it should be replaced every 1 to 2 years.

Washing cycle:  Please backwash everyday (The device works 8 hours as a day). Backwash 15 minutes, wash 10 minutes.

2.Active carbon filter

The operation mode is MANUAL. Ruing and washing are controlled by the valve. Active carbon:300 kg.

Washing cycle:  Please backwash everyday (The device works 8 hours as a day). Backwash 15 minutes, wash 10 minutes.

3.5μm precision filter

PP replaced cycle:1.5-2 months.

 

Operation of Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Machine

1.Running for the first time

First step: Connect tap water to raw water pump.

Second step: Turn the quartz sand filter to BACKWASH state. Start up raw water pump and backwash until outlet water is clean, about 30-60 minutes. And then turn the quartz filter to WASH state, about 15 minutes.

Third step:Turn the active carbon filter to BACKWASH state. Start up raw water pump and backwash until outlet water is clean, about 40-120 minutes. And then turn the quartz filter to WASH state, about 15 minutes.

Forth step: Connect system work state. Open Valves: V1,V2,V6,V10,V12,V13,V15,V16,V17,V18,V19. and close the rest valves. Start up raw water pump, one stage RO pump, and auto mode of two stage RO pump. Please adjust one stage RO high pressure pump V15, and then adjust one stage waste water valve V16 to make the RO working pressure and flux reach requirement.

Fifth step: Adjust two stage high pressure flux valve V17, and then adjust two stage waste water valve V18 to make RO working pressure and flux reach requirement.

The waste water valve of the main machine has been adjusted well. If the flux and work pressure is too low, please operate as follows:

Adjust one stage high pressure flux V15 to make supply water enough; one stage waste water valve to make waste water lower than1200L/H; two stage high pressure valve V17 to make supply water enough; two stage waste water valve to make product water reach1000L/H.

Warn: One stage work pressure should not exceed 13kg; two stage work pressure should not exceed 13kg. Or waste water will jam the RO membrane in a very short time.

2.Running normally.

Connect to tap water, and start up Auto mode of raw water pump, one stage high pressure pump, and two stage high pressure pump, then the unit comes into the state of producing water automatically.

The After-filtration pressure and one stage pure water pressure should pass 0.5Mpa, then high pressure pump have enough pressure to start up.

3.            Chemical clean

If the product water flux decreases 10% during running, or work pressure increases 10-15% (Based on the data of running the device for the first time.), the unit should be rinsed or washed. General speaking, the unit should be cleaned every half years, so as to guarantee the unit operate normally and prolong the life-span of RO module. The clean pressure should be 2~4kg/cm2  ; time is 2~4 hours. Please find below the compound of clean chemical (The quantity of chemical that needed in1 M3cleaning liquid.)

 

NOTE: Please count the water in the four pieces of membrane in, about 5 L for each piece.

Cleaning rules:

1  Connect to cleaning liquid tank→ raw water pump→ one stage RO→ Washing bucket.

2   Specific operation:Pour pure water into the cleaning liquid tank, open V22,V11,V14,V15,V16,V20,

V21,close V1,V2,V10,V12,V13,V19,V17.

3   Start up raw water pump, and the pump is 2-4kg/cm2. The test water in the pipeline recycles to cleaning liquid tank.

4   Compound the chemical. Start up raw water tank and clean 2~4 hours.

5    After two hours cleaning, drain out the cleaning liquid. And the system comes into the normal production state. In the state of normal production, open V16,V19; start up raw water pump. Clean for 30 minutes. Then the unit can begin producing water. After running for 30 minutes, the product water should be drain out.

 

1.Once the general power is turned on, the unit will produce water until high level of pure water tank.

2.When water reaches the middle level of raw water tank, the raw water pump will start automatically; when water is lower than low level of raw water tank, raw water pump will not work.

3.When water is lower middle level of the pure water tank and water is beyond middle level of the raw water tank, the raw water pump will start produce water automatically. When water passes high level of pure water tank, the unit will stop working.

4.After the raw water pump is supercharged, and when the inlet pressure of first stage high pressure pump reaches1kg/cm², first stage high pressure pump starts automatically, and please open the cleaning electromagnetic valve for 30 seconds. If the inlet pressure is lower0.3kg/cm², the high pressure pump will stop due to insufficient pressure..

5.After time lag cleaning of first stage, and the pure water pressure of first stage reaches1kg/cm² or more, the second high pressure pump will start automatically.

6.Ozone starts manually.

 

V.  Attention of safety

In order to avoid electric shock, fire and damage due to improper operation, the operator should follow the basic safety measure

The machine must be grounded

1.Keep to the warming and instruction written on the machine.

2. Close all the power before cleaning the machine.

3. Do not open the Electric Box to prevent from electric shock while the machine is running

4. Do not wet the electric system like motor, Electric Box, Electromagnetic Valve, and etc.

5. Ensure the waterway is straightway before opening the machine, or the pipe will blow out, the motor will burn out, and other damage.

6.When the machine is controlled by manual operation, ensure that the untreated water pressure is not lower than1.0 kg. If the system is done, do not change the valve.

 

VI  Malfunction

1. The First Stage High Pressure Pump startups frequently: Check whether the inlet water pressure of the untreated water and High Water Pump is too low. Look over whether to replace the Filter Element.

2. The Second Stage High Pressure Pump startups frequently: Check whether the inlet water pressure switch is on the proper state, or whether the First Stage Pure Water Flux is too small.

3. The pump fails to run: If the Pump Indicator on the control panel is light, but the pump does not run, check the fuse.

4. The machine does not move in the state of manual or auto operation: Check the components of the circuit board, or fasten the wiring terminals.
