White Fused Alumina , 

White aluminium oxide abrasive is electrically fused in an arc furnace from bayer processed alumina as raw material. Al2O3 contents is generally higher than 98%. As compared with brown aluminium oxide abrasive, the toughness of white aluminium oxide abrasive is slightly lower, but it has a higher hardness and better cutting characteristics. Abrasive articles made of it are suited for grinding of hardened alloy steel, high - speed steel and high - carbon steel workpieces and cutters. Abrasive powder of finer grit size can also be used for precision casting.
