Description of rotary dryer

Rotary dryer is mainly used for the drying of materials like slag, clay and coal dust in building material industry or metallurgy industry, and leaching slag in metal beneficiation. In order to control the temperature of the dryer, a thermocouple which can show the temperature change of the dryer’s feeding and discharging ends is allocated on the feeding and discharging devices. This offers support for the better control of the working temperature (normal 350-380 centigrade) in the drum. Rotary drum dryer is used in the drying of graininess material, and sticky paste material or high moisture material by adding materials.

Its advantages: great production capacity, wide rang of application, small flow rate resistance, large fluctuation range in manipulation and convenient operation. It is most used in the drying of sand, mineral powder, coal slurry, chicken manure and dairy manure.

Principle of rotary dryer

The auto-combustion device provides heat resource for our rotary drier, which adopts down-flow heating method. When the mineral materials are fed into the cylinder, it flows down as a result of gravity. Meanwhile, they are repetitively scattered in the air so that they are in full contact with the hot air. The material is thus dried gradually.
