The OptiX OSN 3800 is for metropolitan convergence layers and metropolitan access layers.
The OptiX OSN 3800 uses dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) or coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) technologies to achieve transparent transmission with multiple services and large capacity.

The OptiX OSN 3800 use dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technologies to achieve transparent transmission with multiple services and large capacity.
Currently, the OptiX OSN 3800 can multiplex up to 80 service channels in a single fiber. That is, it can transmit 80 carrier signals of different wavelengths.
