This section gives an overview of the system.
The Eudemon8000E-X16 is composed of the following subsystems:
All subsystems are placed in integrated chassis.
The functional host subsystem consists of system backplane, LPU, SPU, MPU and SFU. The subsystem mainly performs data processing function. In addition, the subsystem monitors and manages all devices in the system, including power modules and fan modules. The functional host system can be connected to Network Management System (NMS) through NMS interface.
The Eudemon8000E-X16 provides the following system features:
Unblocked switching network that can be upgraded, with switching capacity at the Tbit/s level
Distributed hardware-based forwarding and fast service deployment
Compact structure to increase interface density
Normalized design of system components
Separation of the control channel, service channel, and monitoring channel to ensure non-blacking control channels and monitoring channels
Carrier-class high reliability and manageability
Shielding at the modular level to meet Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements
Hot-swappable boards, power modules, and fans
U-shaped air channels to improve system heat dissipation
Distributed power supply to enhance power supply capability for a single chassis
200-mm fans with a power filter module
MPUs in 1:1 backup mode
SFUs in load balancing mode
Backup for key components such as power modules, fan modules, clocks, and management buses
Protection against incorrect of boards
Queries about alarm prompts, alarm indications, running status, and alarm status of the voltage and ambient temperature
