How to use the shakti Mat?
♦place your mat on a bed, couch, or other flat surface
♦ Gently lie on your back with your skin directly on the contact points for best results.(a thin sheet may be used the first few times to get accustomed to the sensation.).You may place a rolled-up towel or pillow under your neck for comfort.
♦ Lie still, breathe slowly, deeply and calmly. It is common to feel a slight discomfort the first few minutes, which is soon followed by a warm, pleasant sensation.
♦ Lie for 10Minutes the first few days, then increase by 5 minutes a week until you get up to 30-40 minutes. It is safe to lie on the mat longer, even to fall asleep on it. If you do fall asleep on the mat, simply remove it when you wake up and continue to sleep. After you have used the mat on your back a few times, cry other suggested areas.
It is advisable to drink water after using the mat. This assists the body in removing any released toxins. Use the mat often for optimal results. Daily use is recommended.
Warning: Do not use the mat if you are pregnant, are a hemophiliac, using anticoagulants or have skin diseases, unless otherwise directed by your health practitioner.

Cleaning
When required, you may hand-wash your Acupressure Mat with
mild detergent in lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and hang
dry. Avoid using washing machines and tumble dryers, as it
may damage the points.
Using the shakti Mat on your travels
Take your shakti Mat with you when traveling! To save space and, minimize weight, you may remove the thin foam padding inside and leave it at home. If you use the Mat in bed, you don't need, padding anyway, as it will be soft enough with the bed's own mattress.
Place your Mat on your bed, chair or floor. Recommended time, on the mat is 20-40 minutes, but if you fall asleep, it is not harmful to remain on the mat until you wake up. Use your Mat when you have time and when you feel like it, preferably every day. It can be used basically all over the body. From the back, nerves radiate out to the whole body which means that a back treatment gives effect to the whole body. The Mat is also very good to use after exercise, as it promotes increase in blood flow and rejuvenates the body. Relaxation and calm activity is recommended after treatment in order not to disturb the flowing energy.
