Honeywell’s USM GT400 ultrasonic flow meter is designed for the most demanding gas flow measurement
 
applications. The six-path meter replaces intrusive mechanical instrument designs and outperforms existing
 
ultrasonic multi-path meters. Users are able to lower capital and operating costs, improve uptime and reduce
 
risk, thus achieving superior overall performance.

GT400 gas flow meter:
 

The GT400 is a primary measurement device for natural gas custody transfer (fiscal) applications that require:

  • High reliability

  • Excellent metering certainty (±0.1% flow calibrated)

  • Repeatability (<0.1%)

  • Wide range (turndown ratio >120:1)

  • Very low/ high flow (0.5-131 ft/s, 0.15-40 m/s)

  • Non-intrusive operation (no pressure drop)

  • Any combination of these capabilities from low to high pressure (0-4351 psig, 0-300 barg)

 

The flow meter offers speed of sound (SoS) and flow velocity calculations, signal processing and data storage

capabilities, and can interface to flow computers, gas chromatographs and SCADA systems. In addition,

Windows-based RMGView software enables users to monitor the health of the flow meter, alerts them of

upset conditions, and provides diagnostics for alarming. 

Compliant with CEESmaRT technology, a secure, cloud-based solution for condition-based monitoring, USM

GT400 provides stability during flow perturbations due to its direct-path technology with six measuring paths

on three levels. Honeywell’s patented ‘live’ precision adjustment/ echo measurement reduces measurement

uncertainty due to in-situ auto calibration of system delay (tw) after field replacement of transducers.

 

In addition, Honeywell’s proprietary, MID-approved detection algorithm extends signal amplitude for a high

signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to traditional intrinsically safe transducers. This neutralizes the impact of

ultrasonic noise, which may be created by control valves, on measurements.

 

USM GT400 offers users:

  • Reduced measurement uncertainty due to six direct cross (‘X’) path 3D layout and patented ‘live’
