Q. Is Haisun Eco Stone® suitable for exterior application? 

A. Haisun Eco Stone® can be used for exterior applications under careful maintenance. Lighter colors are more sustainable to solar fading. However please be aware that outdoor applications are not covered under the warranty due to possibility of extreme weather condition and other pollutants.

Q. Will the Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface's color solar fade? 

A. No. The acrylic resins used in Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface are unaffected by the ultraviolet rays present in natural light. However outdoor applications do require more frequent care to maintain its shine.

Q. Can I place hot pans or pots on Haisun Eco Stone® surface? How heat-resistant is Haisun Eco Stone®? 

A.Haisun Eco Stone® can endure the everyday rigors of normal cooking temperatures up to 360'F for a short duration, without the fear of scorching or burning. It is still recommended that hot pads and trivets are used to protect the surface and prolong the product lifetime. Do not place high-heat cookware, such as electric skillets, frying pans, griddles or crock-pots, directly on the surface without the use of a protective base. Prolonged or extreme heat and flame can cause yellowing and damage the surface. With proper care and maintenance, Haisun Eco Stone® will remain beautiful and durable for many years.

Q. What will stain my Haisun Eco Stone® surface and how do I remove it? 

A. Thanks to its unique technology, Haisun Eco Stone® withstands most household stains, including coffee, sauce, beet juice, red wine, and hair dyes, but any countertop can stain from their prolonged contact. For surface residue such as hard water stains, tarnish, rust and lime deposits, we recommend using a common house-hold cleaner for cleaning. Once clean, you should wipe off excess water with a dry towel. For specific and technical consultations, please refer to us where details are given of how to remove specific stains from your Haisun Eco Stone® countertop along with details of its resistance to chemicals.

Q. How do I care and maintain for Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface on a daily basis? 

A. Normal cleaning of Haisun Eco Stone® requires only a damp cloth or paper towel and mild household detergent. For sticky spots, liquid detergent may be required. The following are recommended commercial cleansers that are available for routine care or of your Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface - non-bleach, non-abrasive liquid household cleaners: Simple Green® lime-scale remover, Vinegar cleaner (diluted), Bar Keeper's Friend®, Formula 409® Glass and Surface Cleaner, Lysol®, Greased Lightning®. For sticky spots, liquid detergent may be required, and contact us if you have any further questions. 

Q. Can I place food directly on Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface? 

A. Yes. Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface is non-porous preventing any growth of mold, mildew or bacteria - making it ideal for hygienic areas. In fact, Haisun Eco Stone® is frequently approved for food preparation areas in restaurants and bars. Not to mention that it's exceptionally smooth surface makes it super easy-to-clean. Before preparing the meal, make sure the countertop surface is thoroughly sanitized; we recommend using weak bleach solution and rinsing with water.

Q. What makes Haisun Eco Stone® resistant to scratches? 

A. Haisun Eco Stone® is composed of 93% natural quartz and 7% superior color pigment and binder. Natural quartz, the majority of Haisun Eco Stone makeup, is classified as a 7 on Moh’s Hardness Scale, a scientific tool utilized to measure the composition of minerals. Such a ranking indicates quartz is harder than iron and titanium, and there are only a few materials with a higher ranking, including diamonds. This quality makes Haisun Eco Stone® resistant to staining and scratching. This fusion of nature and science make Haisun Eco Stone resistant to common spills of soda, tea, wine, oil or vinegar without the need for laborious sealing like other quarried stone. Be aware that bottom of some ceramic dishes may be abrasive enough to scratch your countertop.

Q. Is Haisun Eco Stone® quartz surface suitable for vertical applications? 

A.Haisun Eco Stone® wall cladding can be vertically mounted onto a wall surface that provides adequate support. Wall cladding pieces can be seamed together using 100% silicone sealant. Either 2cm or 3cm material may be used, however the 2cm thick material will generally prove just as durable and will be easier to install.
