Cold galvanized iron wire
Production technology:
galvanized iron wire is made from high quality low carbon steel wire rod. The process includes wire drawing, acid washing and high temperature annealing, hot dip galvanizing, cooling, drying, coiling.
Characteristics:
Galvanized iron wire has good toughness and elasticity, the highest zinc quantity can reach 300 g/m2. Have characteristics of thick galvanized layer, strong corrosion resistance.
Application:
Galvanized iron wires are widely used in every field of construction, handicrafts, woven wire mesh, highway guardrail, product packaging and daily use etc.
Assortment:
Galvanized iron wire are divided into hot dip galvanized wire and cold galvanized wire (electro galvanized wire).
Hot dip galvanizing is immersion plating in heating melting zinc liquid. During quickly produced, to be thick coating layer but uneven, the allowed minimum thickness 45 micron, the highest zinc coating is more than 300 microns. Color is darker, consume much zinc metal, and the base metal forming infiltration layer, owning good corrosion resistance, in outdoor environment hot dip galvanizing can keep decades.
Cold galvanized (electro galvanized) is in the plating bath, through the current unipolarity making zinc plating metal gradually on surface, production speed is slow, uniform coating, with thin thickness, usually only 3 to 15 microns, the outward appearance is bright, corrosion resistance is poor, general a few months will rust.
Relatively the cost of electro galvanizing is low than hot dip galvanizing.
Color: Cold galvanizing and hot dip galvanizing have the difference on the amount of zinc quantity, can recognize them from color, cold galvanizing color shines silver with yellow. Hot dip galvanizing shines with white.
