Principle: Fluid Mechanics. The device demonstrates  whirlpool phenomenon in nature. Whirlpool features: the pressure of funnel-shaped vortex surface is the same, called equipressure vortex surface. In the same horizontal plane, the product of flow velocity and the point's radius keeps unchanged. Namely more inward swirl, the faster speed, the smaller pressure, so whirlpool has the action of centripetal suction. This is the reason why the whirlpool in the river will catch in people.
