"88/12"C/N FR Fabric is a blend of 88% cotton/12% nylon with a chemically-treated finish for top-notch flame retardancy. Considered among the most comfortable FR fabrics available, this is a cost-effective alternative for at-risk workers who currently wear comparable "name brand" FR cotton blends, but are seeking additional value without compromising comfort or protection. Our "88/12" meets NFPA 70E and NFPA2112 standards.

 

The nylon fibers are intimately blended with cotton fibers in the warp yarns. The product is engineered to focus the excellent abrasion resistance of the nylon on the face of the fabric to enhance garment wear life, while the cotton fibers are focused towards the skin to optimize comfort.

The fabrics are fully flame resistant and addition of 12%nylon in no way represents a hazard to the wearer. In fact, the 12% nylon actually enhances the protective performance in some cases, such as an electric arc and flash fire exposures.
