Product Description

Tisane , or herbal tea, is any non-caffeinated beverage made from the infusion or decoction of herbs, spices, or other plant material in hot water. These drinks are distinguished from caffeinated beverages like coffee, maté, kuding, and the true teas, as well as from decaffeinated tea, in which the caffeine has been removed. In addition to serving as a beverage, many tisanes are also consumed for their perceived medicinal benefits.

Quality Guarantee Period:

Twenty-four months.

Brewing:

1. Commend using clear glass teacup ,Gaiwan, Porcelain pot or Yixing Zisha Teapot.

2. Rinse teacup with hot water.

3. Use between one and two teaspoons of tea leaves (about 5 grams) per teacup of boiling water 150ml (212F ) for up to about one minute and twenty sec.

4. Increase the steeping time and temperature for each subsequent brewing.

5. Infusions: At least 5 times.

Hot tea brewing method:

Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). Even though milk and a dash of sugar help enhance the flavor character of this tea, it is perfectly acceptable to consume this tea ‘straight-up’

Iced tea-brewing method:

Place 6 teaspoons of tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into your serving pitcher straining the leaves. Add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. [A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water]. Please note that this tea may tend to go cloudy or ‘milky’ when poured over ice; a perfectly normal characteristic of some high quality black teas and nothing to worry about!

Cup Characteristics:

Succulent astringent character of pomegranate fuses with sweet and sour Andalusia lemon.

Taste/Aroma:

both the pleasantly sweet fruity aroma and flavor of the tropical fruit. One can also taste traces of sweet honey, but the tea is often flavored further with milk and sugar.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS:

Black tea comes from the same plant as green and white teas, (Camellia Sinensis) and is an excellent source of antioxidants and polyphenols.

• Antioxidants and tea polyphenols are documented in various research papers as inhibitors of various types of cancers in some cases.

• A Dutch study published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that tea drinker lower the risk of heart attack and kidney stones

• A cup of tea consumed without milk or sugar or any other additives contains no calories.

• There is some evidence from large-scale studies that people who drink caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea, and cola have a decreased risk of Parkinson's disease.

• In combination with various other products, black tea is used for weight loss.
