Stainless steel welding electrode/rod aws e309l-16 is a ca-ti type all positional low carbon stainless steel welding rod for joining stainless steel to mild steels or low alloy steel. The easily controlled arc of e309l-16 makes it easy to use on either AC & DC polarity. E309l-16 also gives high crack and oxydation resistance. E309l-16 can be used to weld dissimilar metal joints such as mild steel or low alloy steel to stainless steel. E309l-16 is also suitable for welding 18cr8ni stainless clad steels, and the parts of hardenable steel for which post-heat treatment is impossible in petrochemical and textile industries.
