To determine the dynamic critical angle. The equipment is manufactured in accordance to DIN-51097,DIN 51130:2014-02 and draft ISO 10545-17 annex C consists mainly of a painted steel framework, a stainless steel platform with adjustable angle to arrange the panel of 100x50 cm with floor ceramic tiles suitably glued. The operative shall wear the safety belt provided and walk back and forth onto the platform while this is getting inclined at the rate of 1° per second. The movement is stopped by the operator on the critical angle of slipperiness. The test will be repeated several times close to the angle found to be critical, in order to get a more precise value.

This tester is used for escalator, automatic sidewalk steps, pedals, comb supporting plate and floor plate skid resistance test equipment. A 600mm wide and 2000mm long not easy to deform plate as the simulating inclined platform of the equipment, longitudinal grade between 0-45 degree adjustable, the servo motor rotates through the screw device in certain angular speed, then change the angle by 0.50 at a time. Before the test, you should lubricate the tested surface and the tread side of the test shoes, wear the protection, keep your body straight and walk forward and back at half of the shoe-length step. The platform will inclined from level position at 1 degree/second speed, stop when it reaches the required angle, then record the inclined value, repeat the steps for 3 times.
