1. Application
The instrument is used for measuring whiteness of objects. It is widely used in papermaking, textile, printing and dyeing, plastics, ceramics, enamel, food, building materials, paints, chemicals, salt and other production and inspection departments which measure whiteness. It also can measure ISO Brightness (R457), fluorescent whitening degree produced by fluorescent substances in fluorescent whitening samples. And measure transparency, opacity, light scattering coefficient and absorption coefficient of paper and other tissue materials.

4. Main features
Use optical-electro-mechanical integration and microcomputer control technology, have the functions of test data processing and measure the whiteness (brightness) of various objects. The instrument accord with GB3978: Standard lighting and lighting observation condition. Simulate D65 illuminator to illuminate, adopt d/o illuminating--geometrical viewing conditions (ISO 2469), Diameter of the globe of diffusion is 150mm and diameter of the testing hole are 30mm and 19mm. Light absorber is provide to eliminate the effect of mirror reflection. The peak wavelength is 457nm, the full width at half maximum is 44nm, both of them are produced by Spectral power of R457 brightness optical system. RY optical system accord with GB3979: Method for color of objects.
