Shippng is fast ,usually a month after you place your order .
Can I use fuels other than pellet?
Stoves are specially designed for pellet types. If you use the wrong sort of fuel you may reduce the stoves efficiency and you may even damage the stove.
Can I adjust the heat output from my stove?
Yes, in most cases the amount of air(oxygen) getting into the stove can be adjusted, this will affect the rate of burn and therefore the amount of heat being given out.
My stove makes a ticking sound, Why?
Stoves are made of metal, which expands when heated; this expansion sometimes causes a ticking sound. It is quite safe and should go once the temperature equalises.
Are there still smokeless zones?
Yes. Under the Clean Air Act local authorities may declare the whole or part of the district of the authority to be a smoke control area. It is an offence to emit smoke from a chimney of a building.
How do I clean the surface of a stove?
Wipe the stove with a moist cloth, but only when the stove is cold. Use distilled water with a mild detergent or brown soap. Remember to remove the soap before lighting the stove.
There is soot in my chimney; how did that happen?
If the temperature is too low you might experience tarry soot in your chimney. The combustion temperature will be too low if not enough air is supplied compared to the amount of pellet. Tarry soot is easily recognized as a brown sticky coat. Supply more secondary air to increase the temperature.
A stove pipe thermometer placed on the lower part of the flue pipe will indicate if the air supply is correct.
The flue gas temperature must be approx. 200oC. If the flue gas temperature is considerably lower, tarry soot may be created in the chimney. If the flue gas temperature exceeds 210 – 230oC, the inside parts might be superheated.
Where do I buy spare parts for my stove?
Zhongli can help you with all you spare part requirements.
Will my pellet burning stoves rust?
If looked after and installed properly, the stove will not rust. If rust appears on the stove, it is usually because the stove has been exposed to moisture, possibly from the chimney. In summerhouses, the temperature is often very cold in winter and the still air in the combustion chamber can cause condensation on the stove surface. You should therefore leave the valves in the stove open to prevent condensation forming on the oven, which can cause rust.
