- Use and Description of the Equipment
- The equipment is for seam welding the lap seams between the corrugated top plates and corrugated chassis floors.
- The equipment is in two sections: the welder and the worktable. Jobs are fixed and the welder will move.
- It can be easy to operate, safe and reliable to use, easy to maintain and repair.
- The seam welder shall be furnished with enough strength and rigidity. It shall be able to guaranteestable technical performances when working for 16hcontinuously.
- Material for seam welding (spot welding): SUS301L and SUS 304 stainless steel.
- Plate thickness: max. 2.0+2.0 mm, min. 0.6+0.6, effective longitudinal work range 26 m.
- Production program: 8h/shift, 1 car/shift (total length of weld seam about 200 m).
- The noise of the equipment shall not be more than 70 dB.
- Welding standard: The acceptance standard for quality of welded points for spot welding will follow Japanese standard JISZ3140-1989 (Way for Checking the Spot-welded Places) and JISE4049-1990 (Way for Design of Welded Joints of SS Plates for Rolling Stocks).
- The dimensions, e.g. relative heights, etc. of each part of the equipment shall meet ergonomics.
- Process flow:
Two corrugated plates are placed on the worktable; the fixture clamps at two ends the
lapped corrugated plates; tack welding is first done, then continuous seam welding is done,
or continuous seam welding is done directly.
