Brif introductions of Self-lubricating rod end bearing GE60E

Joint bearing is a special structure of sliding bearing. It has the advantages of simple structure than the rolling bearing, which is mainly composed of an outer spherical surface of the inner ring and the outer ring has an inner spherical form, able to withstand greater load, according to the different type and structure, can bear radial load, axial load and radial, axial and the existence of joint load.

Ball joints are the pivot between the wheels and the suspension of an automobile. Ball joints play a critical role in the safe operation of an automobile's steering and suspension. Ball joints can also be found in most linkage systems for motion control applications, and should not be confused with spherical rod end bearings, which are a different design.

Sealed ball joints do not require lubrication as they are "lubed for life" but standard ball joints must be lubed from time to time. It's best to inspect standard ball joints once a year. Generally speaking, standard ball joints will outlive sealed ones because eventually the seal will break, causing the joint to dry out and rust. While there is no exact lifespan that can be put on a sealed ball joint, they can fail as early as 80,000 miles. Signs of a failing ball joint start with a clicking or snapping sound when the wheel is turned and eventually turns into a squeaking sound at the end of a stop, when the gas pedal is used and/or also when hitting bumps. Another symptom could be 'thud' noises coming from front suspension when going over bumps.

1.Open type bearing should be cleaned before mounting.

2.The bearing should bear the force evenly during mounting. Don’t use hard tools strike the bearing directly. If    need heating mounting, it should heat the bearing evenly up to 80°C~100°C, then mounting it immediately.

3.The warehouse of bearing should be clean and dry, and the relative humidity should not over 60%

4.The stocked bearing should be cleaned and greased again after 12 months, and packed in good condition.

5.It should have good greasing and dust proof seal device when using the bearings, and examine its working situation   frequently.

Spherical plain bearings have spherical contact surfaces which permit the inner ring to rotate freely in all directions within bearing and application design constraints. This gives them the capability to self-align, which means, for example, to adjust automatically to misalignment stemming from inaccurate machining, frame distortions from welding, or deformations of pin and frame due to static and dynamic forces. Such misalignment would generate considerable end loading and cause early failure of plain cylindrical sleeve bearings. Thus spherical plain bearings are thought to have their origin as replacement for plain cylindrical sleeve bearings or bushings and are still occasionally called ball bushings. Spherical plain bearings utilize inner & outer rings with spherical sliding surfaces, and can accommodate heavy radial loads & bi-directional axial loads at the same time. They are generally used for lower swing speed of movement (that is, angular motion), as sliding surface for the spherical shape can also be tilted at an angle within the movement (that is aligning movement).

Quick Details of Self-lubricating rod end bearing GE60E

1.The inner and outer rings are coated with molybdenum disulphide for reduced sliding friction.

2.These spherical plain bearings have a single fractured outer race.

3.This spherical plain bearing does not have grooves and thru holes.

4.This spherical plain bearing must be properly lubricated with grease.
