WHAT ARE COLD THERAPY AND HOT THERAPY?
Cold therapy decreases surface tissue temperature and causes vasoconstriction, which spreads to
adjacent areas helping to control and reduce swelling and pain.
Cold therapy is recommended as a first aid treatment for minor injuries to reduce swelling and relieve pain.
Hot therapy increases skin temperature and cause vasodilation. Increased blood flow relieves pain and
offers more protect to Patients. Periodic short duration heat treatments are frequently
recommended as follow-up therapy for injuries (after 48 hours) to increase blood supply to
the injured area, reduce discomfort and accelerate the healing process.

[Usages]
Cold Use
Put the pack into the refrigerator freezer 60 minutes after pre-cooling, also it can be used and placed in the refrigerator for a longer time.
Hot Use
Microwave method
1. Put the pack on a paper plate or paper towel, flatten the pack and ensure the gel is evenly distributed.
2. If pack is at room temperature, expose on high for 1 minute and let stand 1 minute. If more heat is
necessary, try a further 10 seconds at a time with equal standing until correct temperature is reached.
3. If frozen, expose on high initially for 2 minutes then let stand for 1 minutes. Further exposures should be in
10 seconds increments, with equal standing time, until correct temperature is reached.
4. Use extreme caution when removing as the pouch can get very hot. It is recommended that the pouch is
wrapped in any towel cover when used for hot applications.
5. Record the total time for future use.

1. Check for leaks before use, throw away if leaking.
2. Individuals with problems in sensing heat or cold should use extreme caution with this product.
3. Do not apply it directly to skin, always use any towel cover.
4. If contents contact skin or eyes, remove pack immediately and clean with water.
5. If swallowed, don’t induce vomiting. Call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
6. Keep out of reach of children. Adult supervision is needed for kid’s application.
7. Excessive heating or lying on top of the pack could cause pack to break, leak and burn skin.
