Aluminum alloy with gaiding sand working table FABLE Gem
Refractometer FGR-003 with two power supply systems
Jewelry Refractometer measures the refractive index of your gems. Besides the RI, a refractometer will also give you the birefringence and optic sign. When possible, it is easier to obtain the optic sign from a polariscope. However, that can’t always be done, so you need the refractometer as an alternate means to determine the optic sign when necessary.
As the refractive index of the gemstones are fixed, the RI value becomes a very important reference data; naturally, a Gem Refractometer is absolutely essential for gem identification.
