In 1999, the Chinese government set special frequency ranges for different types of radio transmitting equipment, and not all frequencies can be legally used in China. That is, all radio transmitting equipment sold or used in China will specify different frequencies. In addition, applicants must pay attention to the scope of regulations for certain radio transmitting equipment. They must not only apply for "Radio Type Approval Certification", but also must apply for China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and/or Network Access License (MII) approval.

For example, toy 27MHz and 40MHz remote control aircraft and remote control cars do not need to apply for radio model approval certification.
