EU  ROHS2.0 standard

The European Union Gazette (OJ) issued the RoHS2.0 revision Directive (EU)2015/863, and the EU RoHS2.0 update was finally settled. The original six controlled substances: Lead (Pb), (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), became the ten controlled substances, New dibutyl phthalate (2-ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP), butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) (abbreviated as phthal4P), Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCCD), which had previously been a priority substance for evaluation in ROHS2.0, was not officially included in the list of restricted substances. The limits of the ten controlled substances are 0.1% and 0.01%.

Following the publication of the revised directive, EU member States have until 31 December 2016 to transpose the directive into national regulation and implement it. And from July 22, 2019, all electronic and electrical products (except hospital equipment and monitoring equipment) exported to Europe shall meet this restriction; From July 22, 2021, hospital equipment (including in vitro hospital equipment) and monitoring equipment (including industrial monitoring equipment) will also be covered by the control. In addition, toy products that are controlled by phthalos in Article 51 of Annex XVII of REACH will not be controlled by DEHP, BBP and DBP in this directive.

The European Parliament and the European Union Commission issued the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) and the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Equipment Directive (RoHS Directive) in its Bulletin on February 13, 2003. The RoHS Directive and WEEE Directive provide for the inclusion of hazardous substances restriction management and reporting There are ten big categories of 102 kinds of products in waste recycling management, the first seven categories of products are our main export electrical products. This includes large household appliances, small household appliances, information and communication equipment, consumer products, lighting equipment, electrical and electronic tools, toys, leisure and sports equipment, hospital equipment (other than implanted or infected products), monitoring and control equipment, vending machines. On December 3, 2008, the European Union issued the proposal for the revision of the WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC) and the RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC). The aim of this proposal is to create a better regulatory environment, namely simple, understandable, effective and enforceable regulations. The main contents of the revision of the RoHS directive are:

1. Changed the wording of the law and clarified the scope and definition of the directive;

2. Introduce the CE mark and EC declaration of conformity of products;

3. Phased inclusion of hospital equipment, control and monitoring equipment into the scope of RoHS directive; There was no change in the six hazardous substances restricted, but four substances - diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP), phthalate (2-ethylhexyl ester) (DEHP), butylene benzyl phthalate (BBP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) - requested priority assessment for future inclusion in the RoHS category of restricted substances: Only for new products launched on July 1, 2006. Including incandescent bulbs and light sources for home use. There should be no breach of the special directive or regulation on safety and health requirements - VehicleELV; Batteries Directive 91/157/EEC,93/86/EEC&98/101/EC does not include: hospital equipment or monitoring equipment (WEEE Directive Category 8,9); Maintenance spare parts placed on the market before 1 July 2006; Reuse products originally placed on the market before 1 July 2006.

· Heavy metals: New European RoHS Certificate (ROHS 2.0) -- Lead; - Mercury; - Cadmium; · Some brominated flame retardants: Polybrominatedbiphenyls (PBB's); Polybrominateddiphenyl ethers -- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE's). · Cadmium: 0.01% (100ppm); · Lead, Hg, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers: 0.1%(1000ppm).

Six types of hazardous substances

RoHS is for all electrical and electronic products that may contain the above six harmful substances in the production process and raw materials, mainly including: white household appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, water heaters, etc., black household appliances, such as audio and video products, DVDS, CDS, TV receivers, IT products, digital products, communication products, etc. Power tools, electric toys, hospital electrical equipment.

1. Lead (Pb) Examples of the use of this substance: solder, glass, PVC stabilizer

2. (Hg) Examples of the use of this substance: temperature controllers, sensors, switches and relays, light bulbs

3. Cadmium (Cd) Examples of the use of this substance: switches, springs, connectors, enclosures and PCBS, contacts, batteries

4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) Examples of the use of this substance: metal anti-corrosion coating

5. Polybrominated biphenyl (PBBS) Examples of the use of this substance: flame retardants, PCBS, connectors, plastic casings

6. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) Examples of the use of this substance: flame retardants, PCBS, connectors, plastic casings

ROHS test application process:

1. Fill in the test application form

2. The test samples shall be provided according to the requirements of the specific inspection items, and the samples shall be sent to us.

3. After receiving the completed application form, we will make the contract quotation and send it back with signature and seal
