On July 22, 2019, the EU RoHS requirements were further strengthened as the EU began enforcement of the 4 o-benzenes of RoHS. The current EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2.0) was published on July 1, 2011 and came into force on July 21, 2011, replacing the original 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1.0). on June 4, 2015, the EU issued a revised Directive (EU) 2015/863, formally including the 4 phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) into the restriction list of RoHS 2.0, stipulating that electrical and electronic products other than medical devices and monitoring devices are required to meet the requirements of 4 phthalates on a mandatory basis from July 22, 2019. Medical devices and monitoring equipment will be required to meet the four phthalate requirements from July 22, 2021.
