TAL 22010 is a power surge protector, It is used for surge protection of commercial lighting power sources such as street lighting (ClassI, ClassII), landscape lighting, and surge protection for power ports.

 

The Surge Protection Device adopts full mode protection, UVT teachnology, and has leakcurrent and follow current interruption function. The product is small and comes with L, N, and PE cables for easy installation and application. 

 

The product's maximum protection lightning current is 10kA, which can withstand 10kV surge voltage shock.

Surge, also known as power surge, refers to the peak value that exceeds the stable value instantaneously, including surge voltage and surge current.

 

 

Surge Protector, English name Surge Protective Device, SPD for short, is an electronic device that provides safety protection for various electronic equipment, instruments and communication lines, and is mainly used to limit overvoltage and discharge surge current. Surge protectors are generally connected in parallel with the equipment to be protected. When an overvoltage is generated, it can have the effect of shunting and limiting voltage. Application Scenario of Surge Protection Device:

 

The surge in the power supply system mainly comes from two reasons: external (thunder and lightning) and internal (start and stop of electrical equipment, failures, etc.). Surge is often characterized by a very short time (the overvoltage caused by lightning is often in the microsecond level, and the overvoltage caused by electrical equipment is often in the millisecond level), but the instantaneous voltage and current are extremely large, which is very likely to affect the electrical equipment and Cables cause harm, so a surge protector is needed to protect them.

 

Ruilon UVT teachnology:

It is an abbreviation of ultra low voltage triggering technolgy. It is a design that absorv the high and low voltage energy of the surge in advance, It can absorb the surge energy more completely, and the residual voltage is low, and the protection effect on the back-end equipment is obvious, this technology is patented by Ruilongyuan.

 

Class I: In this paper, a luminaire that refers to "accessible conductive parts connected to protective earthing conductors in fixed wiring(from IEC60598-Luminaires-general requirements and test).

 

ClassII: In this paper, ther term" ligh-protection protection is not onlu dependent on basic insulation, but also has additional safety measures, such as double insulation ot reinforced insulation, but no protective grounding or protection measures depending on installation conditions(from IEC60598-Luminaires-General requirement and tests).

 

Leakage current: In this paper, the current flowing through the SPD does not occur when the power is connected, for example, zinc oxide varistor is devicewith leakage characteristics.

 

Follow current: Current from the connected power source that flows through the SPD during and after the discharge cuttent passes. For example, gas discharge tubes and thyristors are devices with freewheeling characteristics(cited from IEC61643-11).

 

10kA: Refers to the maximum discharge current(Imax) in the 8/20μs surge wavefrom test.

 

10kV: Refers to the nominal discharge voltage (Vn) in the 1.2/50μs surge waveform test.

1. The connection line of the surge arrester will be connected after tining.

2. If there are no wiring terminals, wires should be welded, and the welds need to do isolation treatment.
