Why used 38CrMoAlA material for screw and barrel ?
38CrMoAlA and #45 Steel difference:
- 38CrMoAlA is alloy structural steel
- 38CrMoAlA is a kind of special nitrided steel, it need hardening & tempering before nitrided, and hardness is more than HV900, 0.3mm-0.8mm thickness.
- 45# is Carbon structural steel
- 38CrMoAlA main advantage is wear-resistance, it is harder than 45#.
