Air-Operated Thread Protectors, also called integral inflatable thread protector, is the upgraded product of dismountable inflatable thread protector, and it is also used to protect the outer thread of steel pipe. Its outstanding feature is that its gas nozzle is manufactured on the facade, which can protect the gas nozzle in the pipes loading, unloading and transportation process. The gas nozzle of dismountable inflatable thread protector is on the side, which may damage the gas nozzle. Integral inflatable thread protector is made from polyurethane containing a stainless steel ring in it, so integral inflatable thread protector is resistant to corrosion, abrasion and oil. - Size: 4-1/2" to 24".
- Working pressure: 0.5 MPa - 1 MPa (75 psi to 150 psi).
- Inflation time: 2 s to 10 s.
- Deflation time: 2 s to 13 s.
These durable protectors provide a 360° grip with greater, evenly divided holding power. Durability is enhanced because the outside of the protectors does not change; only the inside inflates to provide a better grip on the pin.
Pressurization by air facilitates installation and release for operational effciency.
