Heating cable using alloy resistance wire for electric heating to achieve heating effect. The heating cable is divided into single conductor heating cable and twin conductor heating cable.
Working Principle
The inner core of the heating cable is composed of cold wire and hot wire. The outer core is composed of an insulating layer, a grounding layer, a shielding layer and an outer jacket. After the heating cable is energized, the hot wire heats up and runs between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius. The heating cable embedded in the filling layer transmits the heat energy through the way of heat conduction (convection) and emits the far infrared radiation of 8-13um.

1. How much electricity is consumed per hour?
Consider an average room size of 100m2 . The heated area is approximately 80%, or 80m2 .In the case of the 150W mats, when the heater is ON, the hourly consumption is 1500W times 80m2.When the recommended thermostat is turned on, take 100m2 as an example. The room is filled with heat about 20min~30min, which is between 450W and 750W.Of course, the specific cost depends on your electricity consumption and electricity unit price.
