Membrane Switch Layers
The diagrams below display the key layers of a membrane switch.
The two primary types of membraneswitches are non-tactile (below left) and tactile (below right).
Tactile membrane switches provide anaudible response or click when activated, non-tactile switches do not, often relying on LEDs or displays to provide confirmation
