Stainless Steel Coil 304

Brand Name Lordfintube
Place of Origin China
Model Number F109

Product Features

Stainless steel coil has excellent resistance to acid, heat, and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal basis for the commercial application of materials. The range of stainless steel coil can be divided into 300 series and 400 series, the former belongs to nickel, with a capacity of more than 85%, which is chromium, the use of a smaller amount.

304 Stainless Steel is the most widely used austenitic (chromium/nickel) stainless steel. In the annealed condition it is essentially non-magnetic and becomes slightly magnetic with the application of cold work. Type 304L Stainless Steel is preferred in welding applications to exclude the formation of chromium carbides during cooling in the heat-affected region of the weld. These alloys represent an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and fabricability.

PRODUCT FORMS: Sheet, Strip, Coil

SPECIFICATIONS:Type 304 – ASTM A240, ASTM A666, AMS 5513 Type 304L – ASTM A240, ASTM A666, AMS 5511

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:

Chemical equipment and piping, heat exchanger components, dairy, and food handling equipment and utensils, cryogenic vessels and components, architectural and structural applications exposed to non-marine atmospheres

Stainless steel coil 300 series in addition to decorative purposes, is widely used in building materials, kitchen utensils, pipe, and industrial uses, Among them 304 is the most representative; 400 was due to hard material, usually made for direct use or as a decorative stainless steel knife, forks, and other utensils or mechanical parts.

Mirror (No.8, Non-Directional) is a high gloss, polished finish, having a high degree of reflectiveness which can be done on all grades of stainless steel. It is produced by progressively using finer abrasives and finally finishing with extremely fine buffing compounds. The stanch Mirror surface is blemish free and has a perfect reflective quality.

FINISH AND SPECIFICATION

Grinding Coils & Sheets

(No.3/No.4/No.5/No.6)

This is a ground unidirectional finish obtained with 150/180/240/320 grit abrasive, which is characterized by parallel brushing lines, it is also known as Satin. These finishes are mostly used in architectural applications for both practical and aesthetic reasons, in dairy equipment, and also in the automotive sector.

SB:

It's a semi-dull finish with uniform grain, which is obtained using finer abrasives than No.4/NO.5/NO.6. This finish has smooth, soft, and exquisite grains which have a low level of reflectivity and unidirectional texture, which is suitable for use in internal architectural applications.

HL:

Seemingly endless polishing lines extend uniformly along with the length of the coil giving the hairline. It's a well-defined directional finish with long-grain and fine-line. Most commonly used in elevators, escalators, the automotive sector, interior cladding, building facades, and trim...

PROCESSING:

Types 304 and 304L cannot be hardened by thermal treatment.

- Annealing: Heat to 1850 to 2050 and cool at sufficiently high rates through 1500 to 800 to avoid precipitation of chromium carbides.

- Stress Relief Annealing: Cold worked parts should be stress relieved at 750℉ for ½ to 2 hours.

FORMING:

Annealed Types 304 and 304L can be fabricated by roll forming, deep drawing, bending, and most other fabrication techniques. Due to the high work hardening rate of these materials, intermediate anneals may be required to successfully fabricate the part.

WELDING:

Types 304 and 304L are weldable by most fusion or resistance welding techniques. If filler metal is required, Type 308 is normally used. Type 304L should be used in heavier sections to reduce the occurrence of carbide precipitation in the heat-affected region adjacent to the weld pool

CORROSION:

Types 304 and 304L provide corrosion resistance in a wide range of moderately oxidizing and reducing conditions, freshwater, and non-marine applications.
