Pull-out Rubber Rod

 

Introduction 

1. Pull-out rubber rod is a new mandrel, used for making small holes in concrete structures. It is mainly designed for making pre-stressed holes on bridge, and can be used on other concrete structures too.

2. The pull-out rubber rod is of high strength, high elasticity and incompressible. When pulled by an axial force, the rubber rod extends axially, and the actual diameter of the rod decreases at the same time.

3. The advantages of the pull-out rubber rod are as follows: easy pull-out, convenient, reusable, long service life, smooth surface, good flatness. The wall of pre-stressed holes is smooth, and the pulling-out time is not restricted by the solidification time of concrete.

Using Method 

1.  Spray liquid soap evenly on the surface of the rubber rod before using. So that the rod won’t stick to the concrete, and it is easy to be pulled out with soap as lubrication. This also increases the using times of the rubber rod.

2.  Installation:

1) First penetrate the steel stranded wire through the inner hole of the pull-out rubber rod, protecting the rubber rod from squeezing deformation during concreting.

2) Then penetrate the soap sprayed rubber rod through the pre-stressed hole, and fix the rubber rod in the correct position by using fixing clips. The distance between each fixing clips is about 300~500mm, as long as pendency can be ensured.

3) When connecting pull-out rubber rods, use thin steel sheet or PVC pipe to wrap the two ends of rubber rod in one and a half or two circles, then tie it with steel wire, finally seal the two ends of the PVC pipe by adhesive tape, so that the mortar won’t enter.

 

Notes: 

1.Please pull constantly, don’t release force, until the rubber rod is totally out.

2.Don’t spray oil parting agent on the surface of the pull-out rubber rod.

3.After using some times, please check if there is any scratch or crack on the rubber rod. If there is any axial crack, the rubber rods can still be used normally. If there is radial crack deeper than 2mm, please stop using the rubber rod.

4.When not in use, please keep the rubber rod from heat, sunlight and corrosive materials.
