Tank Type Mixer

I. Purpose and Characteristic

The tank type mixer produced by our factor is provided with delicate construction and pleasant appearance. It is suitable for mixing and homogenizing powder or particle supplies in such industries including pharmaceutical, daily chemical, food, chemical industry, dye and pigment, pesticide, ceramics, etc. The product leaves no dissolution, volatilization or degeneration of supplies during mixing process.

The tank type mixer is composed of stainless steel tank body that is polished internally and externally, easy for cleaning. The blenders rotate to bring supply from two directions to the center. The exterior layer propellers push the supply to both sides and the two-way rotary blenders and the propellers are in combined use for continuous circulation of supplies in the tank body, leaving no leak to the entirely sealed body during mixing process.

III. Specification of the Construction

1. Mixer speed reducer: The reducer is a key driving mechanism for the mixer, which is mounted on the right side of the machine. When in operation, reducer drives mixer shaft under a speed ratio of 1:51 because the motor inside the frame drives worm and worm wheel by chain. The mixer shaft end is equipped with sealing device, which could be cleaned by dismounting back cover if necessary.

2. Mixing tank: The tank is made of stainless steel and has built-in blenders which are mounted horizontally on mixer speed reducer and layoff speed reducer.

3. Layoff speed reducer: Layoff speed reducer is designed for the purpose of controlling positioning angle of mixing tank. The reducer is mounted on the left side of the machine. When in operation, worm and worm wheel are driven through chain by built-in motor inside the frame, thus rotating mixing tank within a certain scope of angle, pouring the supplies one-off.

 

IV. Operating Instruction and Specification

1. It is required to perform a trial run under idling before formal use and observe normal service conditions of the parts and components during the trial run, availability of abnormal noise, and possible temperature increase of speed reducers. The machine could not be put into production under all the conditions are proved normal.

2. Dismounting of blender: When dismounting and disassembling the mixer, remove the two ends first and loosen the screw caps. Then, draw the blenders smoothly and evenly. Pay attention to smooth operation when dismounting and disassembling blenders. Indiscriminate knocking and prying may result in bending and deforming.

3. If feed on the tank’s interior wall should be removed with shovel, it is required to use tool only other than hand, or injuries may result.

4. Shut down the frame immediately for inspection when abnormal vibration or noise is detected during service.

5. Do not overload the frame. The normal working current of mixer motor is 6.8 amp.

 

V. Lubrication

The speed reducers are subject to oil-immersed lubrication. It is required to add 30# machine oil in gearbox before startup. The quantity is 50% oil level. The layout support is subject to oil cup lubrication on a shift basis. The lubricating oil shall be replaced every six months for clean purpose.

 

VI. Maintenance and Care

1. Check machine parts and components regularly (1~2 times a month). The inspection shall cover worm, worm wheel, bearing, shaft seal and all other moving parts. Repair immediately when identifying any defects.

2. After use or when in suspension each time, eliminate residual supplies inside the frame. If the suspension will last a long period, operator must clean the machine internally and externally and apply anti-rusting oil on the surface. Cover the machine with cloth.

VII. Installation Instruction

The machine is completely and integrally packed. After unpacking, place the machine in a proper place and cushion it evenly and well. Fixation with anchor bolt is strongly recommended.

 

VIII. Electrical Specification

The machine uses 380V AC power supply. The mixing duration could be manually and electrically controlled. When manual control is used, user should set the knob to manual position and set the desired mixing time. This is to say, to use manual control, user should set the knob to manual position only. Check any damaged driving members regularly for the purpose of reliability.
