What is E light?
How does it work?
Skin and hair pigment melanin absorbs light at a specific wavelength and heats up. Due to the difference in color between hair and skin, the heat of the light will be directly transferred to the hair root and are thus prevented from growing. The hair follicle is obliterated, the hair cannot regrow. Still IPL cannot succeed in a single session to get a complete depilation. At the time of a treatment about 20 to 30 percent of hair are in growing phase. As only in the growing phase the root is “visible” to the IPL, several treatments are carried out according to body region and re-crowing intensity in 2 to 12 weeks intervals in order to achieve permanent hair removal. As with the IPL and laser hair removal works best on dark hair, white or very blond hair can be treated with E-Light.
What is RF-Radio frequency ?
RF- Radio frequency is the latest technology to tackle face and body areas in need of rejuvenation. This RF uses Bipolar radio frequency modalities to heat subcutaneous dermal tissue using a hand piece emitting RF waves. This causes the contraction of the existing collagen fibers, encourages fibroblast migration and promotes new collagen growth that helps to tighten and improve the outer architecture of the skin.
How is the E-Light system different from other laser systems?
The E-Light system uses optical energy to heat the hair shaft, combined with radio frequency, which heats and coagulates the follicle itself. The radio frequency is safer because it is not affected by skin color.

1. What is IPL?
Intense Pulsed Light is a technology where light is converted into heat energy.
The selected light waves target chromophores (colour pigments) such as melanin in brown spots and freckles; and such as haemoglobin in broken or diffused blood vessels. The light waves can also target specific protein molecules in acne bacteria and in collagen. IPL treats all conditions without disruption to the skin’s surface.
2. What is the difference between IPL and Laser?
Lasers have been used in surgery for years. The IPL is an adaptation of the laser, more suited to the beauty industry. The biggest difference between laser and IPL, as far as treatment is concerned, is the coverage. The laser beam is very narrow, only covering a small spot at a time, while IPL coverage is several times the area, and therefore treatments are much quicker. The surface area of the IPL applicator head is 7.5 square cm – one of the largest on the market.
Lasers produce light from one specific wavelength, or colour, for a very specific target. The light emitted from the IPL is composed of a spectrum of colours from different wavelengths, enabling selective photo-absorption (light absorption) to different targets. In other words, using the IPL is like using a group of lasers in a single treatment.
