Where can I buy JOHO LED bulbs?

We are experence in the LED market, we're growing rapidly, so you will be able to find our products in an increasingly large number of lighting and hardware stores. You can also purchase our lights on our webstore.

What is LED technology?

LED is the abbreviation for "Light Emitting Diodes". An LED is a semiconductor that emits light. A single LED is small and gives relatively small light output. By grouping them the light output rises. An LED bulb is made of a group of LEDs. The color of the LED depends on the material used. All the characteristics of the LED are used together determine the emission angle, luminous flux, light intensity and color display. At JOHO we use the best quality LEDs available powered by CREE/Osram/Edison/Epi-star LEDs versus other LED bulb companies that use cheap imitations.

What are CREE LEDs?

Cree is a publicly traded company listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange that specializes in LED technology. Cree first brought the blue LED to market in 1989, and today Cree's LEDs have continually exceeded industry standards for brightness and efficiency. Cree manufactured the first “lighting-class” LEDs – LEDS bright enough to be used in illumination applications, such as desk lamps, ceiling fixtures and street lights. Cree leads the LED lighting revolution and is making energy-wasting traditional lighting technologies obsolete through the use of energy-efficient, environmentally friendly LED lighting.

Why are JOHO LED lights better than other brands?

JOHO LED lights use top LED technology guaranteeing the quality and longevity of our lights. Other inexpensive brands purchase their LED supply from low quality LED manufacturers to save on production costs. These other brands advertise an average lifetime of 50,000 hours for their bulbs but their LEDs only last for 10,000 hours. That is only twice the lifetime of an incandescent bulb. Their advertised lifetime only represents the lifetime of the power source and not the LED lighting itself, so don't be fooled by their low prices and advertised life hours.

Does an LED bulb give the same amount of light as an incandescent or CFL light bulb?

Yes, when you chose a correct LED bulb in the correct application as well as the right brightness and color, LED bulbs can produce the same amount of light as CFLs and incandescent bulbs. It is very important to purchase the correct JOHO LED bulb for specific application. Please visit our products selector for more information.

What should I know when buying LED bulbs?

There are two important concepts to keep in mind when purchasing an LED bulb: light output and color temperature. Light output, in the form of lumens, will tell you how bright the bulb will be. The higher the lumen count, the greater the light output. Color temperature, in the form of degrees Kelvin, gives you the color of the light. A warmer light actually has a lesser Kelvin temperature, while a colder light has a higher Kelvin temperature. For a more detailed explanation of what to look for, please visit the Lighting Facts website.

How are JOHO LED lights tested and certified?

All JOHO LED bulbs undergo rigorous testing specific to the region in which they are sold. Our standard tests include CE, TUV, FCC, RoHS Certifications, as well as IES test report.

How long is the lifetime of JOHO LED bulbs?

Our bulb lifetimes vary on a per product basis and the average hours of usage a day. On average, they last from 20,000 to 50,000 hours. All of our products have a 2 years warranty and some up to 3 year warranty with free replacements of equal or better quality if the previous product line has been discontinued.

Are JOHO bulbs dimmable?

The JOHO LED dimmable product lines are now available as well as many new products, colors, and brightness, for various applications.

Do JOHO LED bulbs turn on right away?

Unlike CFLs, JOHO LED bulbs do not require a "warm up" time. Just like a regular incandescent bulb the light turns on instantly.

Why are LED bulbs so much better than incandescent and CFL bulbs?

Most households still use traditional incandescent bulbs. However, incandescent bulbs convert only about 10% of the electricity they use into light; the other 90% is converted into heat. The typical house has between 50 and 100 sockets. The households' lighting and other appliances consumed 26% of the household's entire energy consumption. By placing a JOHO LED bulb into one or all of your household sockets, you would be reducing your energy consumption for lighting applications by up to 90%.

Are CFL bulbs just as energy efficient as LED bulbs?

CFL bulbs are only more efficient than incandescent bulbs, but JOHO LED bulbs are even more energy efficient and last longer than CFL bulbs. Additionally, CFL bulbs contain poisonous mercury material and can easily break causing harmful health issues and also harms our environment if not disposed properly. All JOHO LED lights are virtually unbreakable, meaning that they will not shatter and do not contain any harmful chemicals, UV rays, and infrared radiation.

Are JOHO LED light bulbs eco-friendly?

Yes, the materials used to manufacture JOHO LED bulbs are as environmental friendly as possible, with 90% of the parts capable of being recycled. JOHO LED LED bulbs do not contain mercury or emit UVA/UVB rays, which causes severe health issues and harms the environment. Additionally, all of our packaging material packaging is made from recycled materials and can be recycled or reused. JOHO LED bulbs are so "green" that the light emitted from our bulbs can also be used as sunlight to grow plants and vegetation. The light emitted from our lights is considered natural sunlight without all the harmful rays and radiation which is very beneficial for our skin.
