Perlite Expansion Furnace / Perlite Expander Kiln / Expanded Perlite Production Plant
Expanded perlite is a white granular material with a honeycomb structure inside which is made by preheating and instantaneous high temperature roasting. The principle is as follows: the perlite ore is crushed to form a certain size of ore. Thermal calcination, rapid heating (above 1000 °C), water vaporization in ore, expansion in softened vitreous ore containing sand, forming a porous structure, volume expansion 10-30 times of non-metallic mineral products. Perlite according to its expansion process technology And the usage is classified into three type: open cell, closed cell, and balloon.
Expanded perlite application areas:
Architecture: insulation and heat insulation of building roofs and walls; lightweight aggregates of building materials;
Industrial: Dip-pressed hydrophobic perlite insulation board, sound absorbing panel, partition wall panel, fireproof panel, etc.;
deep cold, low temperature engineering insulation, industrial equipment, pipeline insulation, etc.;
Agriculture and horticulture: soil improver, soilless culture substrate, pesticide retardation agent;
Others: filter aids, fillers, abrasive materials, slag materials for steel making processes, etc.
The main components and functions of the system
1. Preheating furnace: remove the moisture in the ore and heat the ore to more than 200 C degrees.
2. Bucket elevator: Lift the heated ore directly to the top of the main furnace.
3. Expansion furnace: The expansion operation is carried out on the ore after the heat.
4. Water cooling system: for high temperature finished products to cool down.
4. Separator: The separated expanded products are sent to the silo by air.
6. Dust collector: The dusty exhaust gas is purified and discharged according to the standard.
