2. How the machine work
| How to use the IPL | |
The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy) hair removal procedure produces a high intensity flash of filtered light from the applicator head, which has been placed in contact with the skin. The energy from the light source is absorbed by the pigment melanin, which is the chromophore, which gives hair its color. The hair rapidly absorbs this filtered light and transfers it to the surrounding cells that in turn are converted into heat raising them to a temperature of 70 degree Centigrade or more. The heating denatures the cells making them incapable of producing further hair growth. |
3.Functions of IPL
(1) For hair removal:
1. Shave hair and leave small hair about 1-2mm on skin.
2. Clean skin.
3. Put gel on treatment area. (If you have white, yellow and light brow skin, gel can be not applied; if you have deep brown skin, you would better use gel)
4. Press lamp on skin and press button to begin treatment. (After each shot, it takes about 2-3 seconds to charge. During the charing, no light comes out even if you press the button.)
5. Remove hair each 20-30 days. (it is the best to remove hair again once hair comes back with about 1cm) Usually, 6-10 sessions later, hair will not come back.
Attention:
IPL-10 removes hair by intense pulsed light which heats up the hair shaft and it's root.
Through light transformation, the darker hair receives more heat.
This precess stops the hair growth early, in the anagen phase.
Hairs are usually in different states of the hair growth's cycles.
Hence, more than 4 treatments are required to give you long-lasting hair-removal successfully.
