Designing
The designing is to be made based on the customer’s demand as well as the local
conditions, investment and future profits are other factors that are put into serious consideration when designing. We have realized the production line HKJ-D in series involving diagram of manual dosing, dosing before grinding, aimed at producing feed mainly for poultry and pig and aquatic feed for fish and shrimp, production line HKJ-Z featuring automatic dosing and grinding before dosing. The specifications are as shown as follows.
In the instructions only the production line HKJ-D is to be detailed while other instructions will be readily made later for production line HKJ-Z

Grinding system
One of the drip type micro hammer mills model SWSP63X45, SWSP63X65, SWSP138X45 separately complete with power of 37,45,75,90,110KW is to be used for grinding system. The hammer mill is built for special designing, featuring double grinding in the chamber, remarkable increasing of hammer linear and enhancing grinding efficiency. The screening plates with various sizes holes and different arrangements of hammer are used to have grain with different particles, which meet demands on the producing ordinary feed for pig and poultry and high quality feed for young pig and aquatic feed as well. Vibration reducer is to be placed on the base of the hammer mill with a view of reducing vibration and noise as well. The mechanic discharging and aspiration under negative pressure are used for grinding system to save energy consumption.
3.23Mixing system
The horizontal screw mixers with capacity of 500kg and 1000kg/batch are to be used, with mixing cycle of 3-6 minutes and variation coefficient cv≤7%, large discharging gate is used, featuring ability of discharging big bloc of material and leaving few residue. The fat adding system may be equipped in the mixing system (the double- shaft paddle mixer is to be installed according to the customer’s demand.)
3.24Pelleting system
The material is to be pelleted after it is fed and steam-conditioned, pellets need to be ripened ( according to the requirement), cooled, crushed and graded before it becomes finished pellets. The stuff separated by grading needs to be pelleted again or the crushed stuff will return to the pelleting machine for being pelleted or to the crusher to be crushed again.
The pelleting system consists of one of the pelleting machines model HKJ32,HKJ35, HKJ40, HKJ45 one of the double motor driving pelleting machines with ring die model HKJ35B, HKJ40B and HKJ45Bc. The pelletting mchine is built for main shaft less stressed smooth transmission, long working life of the shaft, low noise. It can be equipped with non-stop oil adding system. An octagon current-counter cooler with vibrating discharging (pellet diameter of 1.5 to 20mm) offers advantages such as non n leakage and non-blockage, uniform cooling and pellets with good-looking and smoothness. The rotary grading sifter is to be used, presenting simple structure, few troubles, no necessity of oil addition and low noise
3.25Packing system for finished products
The finished products stored in the bin are to be packed after manual weighing and sewing before they are conveyed into the warehouse.
3.26Electricity, steam and air compressing systems are to be supplied by the customer.
For total installed power of the feed installation please see the table. It requires 380 V, and 50HZ for electric system.
The pressure required in the installation is 6kg/cm2, 200-500kg/hof saturated steam is to enter the installation. Distribution cylinder, water discharge valve and pressure reducing valve and pipe are to be used to reduce the steam pressure coming into the machine to around 2-4kg/cm2
The installation is to be equipped with an air compressor with pressure of 0.5m3/m, 6kg/cm2
4. Electric control system
The electric control system in the feed mill consists of main electrical panel and two
electric control cabinets placed near the machines. The electric control system adopts the collective control while the pelleting machine and hammer mill use the combination of collective control and individual control at site. The normal circuit is to be used, complete with Chinese brand electric instruments and components.

1. What are pellets and what are their main characteristics?
Pellets are made from fine dry biomass which was run through a pellet machine and formed into small compressed pellets of different sizes. Pellets can be used as animal feed, animal bedding or as bio fuel.
2. What are pellets used for?
Feed pellets are used for animal feeding.While biomass pellets are used mainly for heating.
3. What is the raw materials for feed pellet and biomass pellets?
Feed pellets are mainly of grain ,corn ,wheat ,soybean ,grass and so on.
Wood Pellets are mainly made of any wood waste and biomass particles, such as wood sawdust, wood shavings, wood chips, wood logs, straw, rice husk, coffee husk etc.
The raw material is renewable and sustainable. They are available locally, so the cost is affordable and predictable.
4. What’s size pellets for feed pellet and what’s the size for biomass pellet?
The length and diameter of the pellets vary according to the size of the die in the pellet mill. Normally feed pellet diameter is 1.5-12mm,and biomass pellet diameter is 4-12mm,it depand on client’s demand. For the length ,it can adjusted by knife on pellet mill.
5. Can I make pellets out of a huge supply of wood chips?
Yes, but you will have to grind them down to sawdust form before feeding into the pellet mill. Our wood hammer mills is able to meet your demand. And the moisture of sawdust should be about 13%.
