Maintenance
All exteriorbuilding materials require cleaning, periodic cleaning will maintain the beautyof the deck. However ,Hongyuan decking requires few maintenance .We recommendyou to wash your deck once a year (in spring or summer)with water and soap(ascrub brush if possible to act in the longitudinal sense of the boards)
It’srecommended to use a blade to clean the space between each board to keep a gooddrainage and ventilation.
Solution
Scratch Slight scratch didn’t matter a lot to theappearance of decking.A light metal brushing or medium sanding paper can beused if you insisted on removing such scratch.
GeneralDirt&Debris The affected areashould be sprayed off with a hose to remove surface debris.Use warm soapy waterand a soft bristle brush to remove dirt and debris from the embossing pattern.
Ice & Snow A plastic shovel may be used to removesnow from the deck.Use Calcium,chloride or rock salt to melt the snow and icefrom the deck surface.
Oil/Grease/Food All food spills should be removed as soonas possible.The surface must be cleaned within seven days to maintain the stainwarranty.To remove ,spray off with a hose and use warm,soapy water and a softbristle brush to remove spills from embossing pattern.
Mold &Mildew If debris such as pollen anddirt is allowed to remain on the deck surface ,mold can feed on the biofilm.Using a hose and warm soapy water with a soft bristle brush is recommendedto remove the food source and mold.
NOTE:
Do not useHongyuan decking boards in interior or within areas with non UV or windyexposure.
A minimumexposure to wind and rain is necessary for an easy washing and maintenance.
Do not usesolvent base materials.
Do notstain,oil or paint our deck boards.
