Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) Sulfone
Bisphenol S is a white acicular crystal. Melting point 240-241℃. Soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, soluble in alcohol and ether, slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, insoluble in water. The molecule contains two hydroxyl groups and a strong electron absorbing sulfone group, so the acid is stronger than other phenols. Melting point 245-250 °C(lit.), boiling point 363.4°C (rough estimate), density 1.366, vapor pressure <0.0001 Pa (20 °C), refractive index 1.5220 (estimate).

Product application
1. Mainly used as a monomer to synthesize polysulfone resin, can also be directly used in paint, leather modifier, dye intermediate, metal plating bright agent, etc 2.4,4' -dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone is mainly used as a color fixing agent. In addition, it can be used as plating solution additive, leather tanning agent, dispersant for high temperature dyeing of disperse dyes, phenolic resin hardening accelerator, resin flame retardant, etc. It is also an intermediate of dyes and auxiliaries. As A substitute for bisphenol A, it can be used as a raw material of polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polyester, phenolic resin, as well as a raw material of polysulfone and polyether sulfone. The product is also used in the manufacture of color photography materials, photographic contrast enhancers, thermal recording materials (color development agents), daily surfactants and efficient deodorants.
