Glutaric acid
Glutaric acid is a white needle-like crystalline powder, odorless, usually containing 1mol of crystal water. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether and chloroform, slightly soluble in petroleum ether. Melting point 95-98 °C (lit.), boiling point 200 °C/20 mmHg (lit.), density 1,429 g/cm3.

Product application
Glutaric acid can be the raw material to make glutaric anhydride. It can be used as initiator in manufacture of synthetic resins and rubber and starting material. Glutaric acid also can be used in plasticizers and detergents/cleaners.
