2, 5-hexadione is a light yellow transparent, low volatile liquid. The melting point is -5.5℃, the boiling point is 194℃(100.5kPa), 89℃(3.33kPa), the relative density is 0.9737(20/4℃), and the refractive index is 1.4421. It can be miscible with water, ethanol and ether. It turns yellow over time. Solubility soluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents.

Product application
1. Used as a high boiling point solvent for synthetic resin, nitro paint, coloring agent, printing ink, etc., leather tanning preparation, rubber vulcanization accelerator. 2. Carbamate compounds react with acetonyl acetone (110-13-4) to obtain N-substituted 2.5-dimethylpyrrole, which has excellent UV resistance and has a good compatibility with rubber, plastics and various resins.
