This style feather cushion is commerical machine washable and dyable (Due to their size-these are the cushion pad we make-you may in fact want to have a professional service wash and dry the cushion in their commerical size machines). We do not recommend pre-washing it and instead suggest using it right away for maximum enjoyment( you can always add a cushion cover later on if you really want one)
